I have created a Kickstarter to help fund my exciting new graphic novel “The City Troll”.
“The City Troll” is a 180-page black and white comic about a guy named Paul and his extreme self-hate. He views himself as a creature he calls the city troll. This graphic novel floats between a surreal world where Paul wallows in his own self pity and the real world where he tackles a love triangle, jealousy, his distancing relationship with his father and his confrontation with his abusive mother.
I have spent almost all my free time creating this book over the last year. Although it is fiction it has really been an outlet to deal with my own self-image issues and relationships. There is no way I could afford to print this on my own so I am counting on generous contributions from wonderful people like you.
RESERVE A COPY TODAY AND HELP FUND MY GRAPHIC NOVEL
If you can’t afford to support this project financially reblogging it or tweeting helps a great deal.
THANKS FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LEARN ABOUT MY PROJECT.

“Dinosaur Underwear” - The Jellyfish Bandits
I want to lie next to you girl
in the summer’s air
claim this field as our own world
I’ll play with your hair
we can make a nest out of twine
where the birds can sing
and all the clocks and the deadlines
they won’t mean a thing
I want to lie next to you in the tall grass
your dinosaur underwear is hella badass
let’s hang off every word
until it’s absurd
like we’ve never heard
“love” before
you want to get a tattoo of a heart
to put on your sleeve
even though it’s cliche tattoo art
and on this midsummer’s eve
we will watch the clouds until night falls
then we’ll watch the stars
safe from all those stupid phone calls
and driving in cars
[chorus]
Can we just lie here naked (I want to lie next to you)
from time on this blanket (I want to lie next to you)
you are so beautiful (I want to lie next to you)
I can hardly take it (I want to lie next to you)
[chorus]

“Ghostical Love” - The Jellyfish Bandits
if tonight perchance I die
I hope that I
am a ghost undiminished
because I have business unfinished
my skin turns to indigo
I’ll watch you through your window
I hope you don’t think that’s creepy
it’s just that you complete me
you can see me in your dreams
fly over drive-in movie screens
call this cloud our meeting place
lie on our backs and stare through space
I can’t hold you
you just fall through
I know this isn’t right
I know that this is wrong
but would you just die?
come on hurry along

“Loch Ness Monster” - The Jellyfish Bandits
I swim around without a care
but it doesn’t get me anywhere
I have worries…
I try and hold my breath
until I’m too afraid of death
then my lips pop back…
it’s hard to find love
when you’re one-of-a-kind
cause no one wants to waste their time
on trying
to understand
you…
I only got one lump on my heart
but haven’t you seen those valentine cards
a heart’s suppose to have two lumps…
I lay on my back and bake
I see a cloud that resembles my shape
and pretend it’s love…
she reaches out her fin
says she wants to come in
sorry she had to hide
it’s finally time for the ride
out of this loch
out of this town
out of this world
so Goddamn round
will you love me?
will you love me?
will you think so highly of me?
will you kiss me?
will you hug me?
will you think so highly of me?
will it feel so heavenly right?
will it feel like the highest height?
will you dream of me at night?
will we sleep with our necks tied tight?
will you always want me around?
will you be sad when I’m down?
yeah, I’ll be really sad when you’re down
not like an acquaintance who fakes a frown
why am I kidding me?
I’ll always be lonely
in this lake forever…

“Plastic Vampire Teeth” - The Jellyfish Bandits
you and I
sitting still like a couple of graves
up on make out mountain looking out on the waves
should I make the
first move and touch your hand
unaware that behind us dark silhouettes stand
digging, digging, digging
digging, digging, digging in
why are you digging your nails into my skin?
no need to be so drastic
those vampire teeth are plastic
that noose around his neck is elastic
and when he said he’d kill you he was just being sarcastic
I wanted tonight to be just you and I
I guess Halloween wasn’t the best night to try
now I have to share you with some fat guy
in a skeleton sweat suit, mullet and glass eye
it’s so late we need to call it a night
pull up our hoods and get on our bikes
ride the road with broken street lights
actually, we have a little more time
time…
we’re talking but I don’t know what we’re saying
I’m in my head wishing we were making out
and hoping that your in your head not knowing what we’re saying
and we’re both making noises wishing we were making out
[chorus]
we stand on the bridge
and watch the murky blue
you cuddle up to me and I put my arm around you
now our lips are touching
and our fingers are clinging
and below us a vampire couple is singing
I bite your neck and you bite mine
we both draw blood but we feel fine

“Oswald Park” - The Jellyfish Bandits
I’ve got a case of beer
and a backpack packed tight
I’ve packed three bags
we’re only staying for one night
beer hidden in fast food cups
so we can drive causally
five friends in the backseat
and your squishing on me
the trees are falling on the campers while they’re sleeping
so they shut the park down,
shut the park down
and the corpses in their tents are now ghosts a creeping
better turn the car around
turn the car around
oh no
where will
we go?
when our friends are in town for the summer
…what a bummer
we’ll have to go to the beach
and sleep on the sand
can I sleep next to you?
only because the cold, I can’t stand
did you know I have a cool car
and that I play in a band?
yeah, I’m in that same band
yeah, but check out my tan
[chorus]
and that one song came on
we’ve been longing for, for day
but your cellphone
interfered with the car’s radio waves
during our favorite part…
the part that goes…
la, la, la, la, la, la
[chorus]

“Emily Jane” - The Jellyfish Bandits
when I first met you
I tried to forget you
I know that you’re wanted
and feverishly haunted
but I can’t bear to
just watch you so scared who
is hunting the reward
so hide under my floorboards
sheriff…
won’t sleep
till I’m locked in jail
or in a coffin
till he’s hammered the last nail
there’s blood on your hands
there’s blood down your wrists
and the dead man’s heart still
beats in your fists
your eyes soft tragic
hover like black magic
you keep washing your hands clean
the prettiest hands I’ve seen
I think I’ve fallen
so deeply enthralled in
you’re soft like candlelit skin
and dangers in your sin
[chorus]
one night I came home to you Emily Jane
your shadow like an angel afloat
your foot tapping on the windowpane
your naked body swinging from a rope
I fell to my knees and cried insane
that heart kept beating and you couldn’t cope
one night I came home to you Emily Jane
your naked body like an angel afloat
